  1. Welcome to version 3.00D (demo) of MAGUUCP (formerly known as MAGCOM).
  2. This is a DEMO version of MAGUUCP.
  3.  
  4. MAGUUCP, like its predecssor, MAGCOM, is a terminal program but with
  5. UUCP capabilities for Internet E-mail exchange.  MAGUUCP also has a
  6. powerful scripting language.
  7.  
  8. To set up MAGUUCP, first print out the documentation file:
  9.  
  10.     print maguucp.doc
  11.  
  12. Follow the instructions within.
  13.  
  14. If you want to get started right away, create a directory (ie: MD \MAGUUCP)
  15. and change to that directory (ie: CD \MAGUUCP).  Place the following files
  16. in that directory:
  17.  
  18.      MAGUUCP.EXE
  19.       ULFILE.EXE
  20.       DLFILE.EXE
  21.      MAGUUCP.ICO
  22.  
  23. and then run MAGUUCP.EXE from an OS/2 text window (or fullscreen if you
  24. prefer).

  26. Pressing your <F1> key will provide help.

  28. NOTEs: - The DEMO release has certain restrictions (of course, its a demo!).
  29.          The commercial release has no restrictions.
  30.        - Source code licensing is available!  Refer to the user manual.
  31.        - The file ORDER.TXT contains an order form for the commercial release,
  32.          this same order form is also in the user manual.  The order form is
  33.          for version 3.00C of MAGUUCP... the price for v3.00C is guaranteed,
  34.          however, if a newer version is released, the price for the newer
  35.          version may be different.
